TOUR  2  -  July 16  -  21,  2017
A caravan tour is a group of vehicles (maximum of six) traveling together.  Everyone travels in their own vehicle.  Little House Site Tours plans the routes, lodging, site visits, a picnic, and farewell dinner. This tour begins on July 16, 7 PM, near Des Moines, Iowa; ends Friday, July 21, with farewell dinner near Mansfield, Missouri, and overnight stay in Springfield, Missouri.  Departure on July 22. This tour includes lodging for July 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21  (2 lodging places; 3 nights at each place)  Both lodging places have a swimming pool.
​We tour Rocky Ridge Farm, where Laura wrote several of her Little House Books.
We enjoy our tour of Rock House, where Laura started writing her Little House books.
We always enjoy our visit to the Little House on the Prairie Museum near Independence, Kansas.
We plan to visit this beautiful new
 LIW Museum in
Mansfield, Missouri  -  a wonderful tribute to Laura and her books.

We will see Laura's  correspondence with her daughter, Rose, while the books were being written.  We also enjoy viewing the original manuscript for The First Four Years

IOWA BRAILLE SCHOOL   Vinton, Iowa
  Attended by Mary Ingalls during the 1880s.  We enjoy touring the school and seeing the registration book used during Mary's time here.
All ages enjoy this 500 acre outdoor museum where we see the many historical periods of farming.  We have fun riding a wagon as we visit the 1875 town of Walnut Hill.
