We'll enjoy seeing the replica cabin where Carrie Ingalls was born. Sitting in the desks at Sunny Side School (a one room school from the late 1800s) and checking the mailboxes from an early Kansas Post Office will bring us memories of Laura's era.
A tour of Rocky Ridge Farm and Rock House - where the Little House Books were written - will highlight our day in Mansfield, Missouri along with a picnic at the
Wilder Farm. We'll also visit Mansfield Cemetery.
Everyone will have the opportunity
to walk "Laura's Pathway." This is the path between Rock House and Rocky Ridge Farm that Laura and Almanzo used to walk.
FORT SCOTT, KANSAS was an important fort during the years when the Ingalls lived in Kansas. We will have a guided tour of the fort.
